Purpose
By the end of this presentation our audience will have the ability to identify the perfection that can be reached through proper use of femto laser in cataract extraction

Methods
A case control comparative study in which 50 patient suffering from cataract were selected, Age ranging from 25 to 71 years and hardness of nucleus ranging from 1 to 4. Half of them, femto laser was used to creat a computed capsulotomy and fragmentation of the nucleus and the other half a normal phaco was performed.Capsulotomy size was planned to be 5-5.5 mm,Laser energy used was 600-700 mj,Radial and circular cuts were performed by femto laser while in the control group capsulorhexis forceps was used and the nucleus was divided as regular way of phacoemulsification.Data was collected and analyzed statistically

Results
Perfection in performance of capsular cut as planned size & shap was detected with femto laser group while 28 % of a variety in control group. No capsular tear or extension occured with femto laser group while 8 % of the control group was detected. Thickening of the capsular edge was detected in 80% and capsular block was detected in 12 % of femto laser group. 16 % difficulty in separation of the fragments due to tough posterior plate and safety zone present at femto laser group. Phaco power was reduced in all cases of femto laser group between 30-50%.

Conclusion
Femto laser becomes a valuable tool at the hands of cataract surgeons to reach perfection of performance in cataract extraction and reduction of phaco power.
