Purpose
To study visual outcomes for far, intermediate and near after Synchrony IOL(Abbott Medical Optics, USA)implantation.

Methods
19 patients (33 eyes) underwent SynchronyIOL implantation.Follow

up visits were performed up 2 y. po. Contrast sensitivity and

occurrence of halos were also assessed.Defocus curve analysis was applied.

Results
Mean patient age was71.52±7.02ys.Distance UCVA was0.04±0.05logMAR at2years. Near Vision20/26.75±3.50 EDTRS with correction 0.81 ± 0.91 at 24 months.Intermediate20/32EDTRS. No contrast sensitivity penalization

occurred.Quality of vision study detected moderate halos in14.3%of the

patients.

Conclusion
Synchrony dual-optic accommodative IOL appeared to be clinically safe and effective. UCVA safe for car driving was achieved within1month

Intermediate and near vision were satisfactory within1week.
