Purpose
To evaluate the properties of a new phaco console (Centurion Vison Sytem, Alcon, USA) phacoemulsification was performed at diffrent IOP levels. Surgical videos and intraoperative settings will be demonstrated.

Methods
More then 200 phacoemulsifications were performed with the new plattform. IOP settings were continuously reduced. Finally 50 surgeries were performed with preset of IOP at 20 mmHg.

Results
No complication related to the low IOP setting was recognized. Anterior chamber stability during phacoemulsification was noted to be slightly reduced but did not cause any difficulties to the surgeon. Surgical time was not increased. Intraoperative Surge phenomenn was dramaticaly reduced.

Conclusion
This new technology may allow to reduce intraoperative intraocular pressure during cataract surgery. That could result in fewer intra- and postoperative complications.
