Purpose
To evaluate the IOL prediction accuracy of the new Hoffer H-5 formula comparing to other commonly used formulas.

Methods
The Hoffer H-5 formula was programmed on an Excel spreadsheet to allow IOL power calculations using race and gender as additional factors. Prospectively, over 3,000 postop eyes with ≥20/40 BCVA were submitted by the 45 surgeons from around the world who agreed to participate. Data collected were AL, K, ACD, IOL power implanted, race, gender and BCVA.  Calculations of IOL prediction error after adjusting the ME to zero for each, was done using the Haigis, Hoffer H-5, Hoffer Q, Holladay 1 and SRK/T formulas evaluating MedAE, %±0.50D, ±1.00D and range.

Results
The results will be fully calculated and tabulated for presentation since this huge amount of data cannot be evaluated in a short time. The results however will be important. The number of eyes may be significantly higher by presentation.

Conclusion
The study will determine whether the Hoffer H-5 using race and gender as additional biometric data in the formula will improve IOL power calculation results clinically.
