Course Description
Course will discuss the field of myopia management and control in children. This in the face of myopia incidence increasing from roughly 5% to a projected 50% incidence worldwide. WHO and CDC are referring to the growth of myopia in China as an epidemic. Even in the U.S., myopia incidence has increased by 60% in the last several decades. In light of this we are in need of a new and more effective protocol for the management of myopia among our adolescent patients. Peripheral hyperopia defocus plays an important role in myopia confinement. Panel discussion will follow.
