ASCRS Course: Better Surgery Through Chemicals: Topical and Intracameral Agents for the Anterior Segment Surgeon

Course Description
Course will review the relevant pharmacology and physiology of intracamerally and intravitreally applied agents including mydriatics, anesthetics, dyes, stains, OVDs, steroids, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and anti-VEGF agents. Topical antiseptic prophylaxis will be discussed. Potential risks of these agents, and compounding and regulatory issues will be discussed. A panel discussion will conclude the presentation.
