Synopsis & Educational Value
Course will present a comprehensive review of local and systemic anesthesia to help the RN and technician recognize and manage perioperative risks for both clinic and ASC patients. Discussion will include the staff member's role in conscious sedation, and awareness of the risks and benefits of the most commonly used local and IV medications.

Learning Objectives
Attendees will recognize perioperative risks in outpatient surgery, and discuss the goals, techniques, benefits, and risks of various types of anesthesia.
