Course will discuss the emergence and transmission of antimicrobial-resistant organisms in healthcare settings. The approaches to the prevention and control of these organisms should be tailored to the specific needs of the institution and population. This presentation will focus on the most common multidrug resistant organisms, discuss risk factors, preventative measures, and guidelines to reduce the spread of infection.
