Course Description
Course will discuss the kinds of clinical circumstances that justify off-label practicing as well as situations in which off-label practice might constitute the state of the art. Faculty will also discuss whether physicians should customarily inform patients that they are receiving an off-label prescription as part of the informed consent process. The faculty will represent international perspectives on these questions and consider the role of drug and device manufacturers in off-label contexts.
