Purpose
Given surgical difficulty of pediatric cataract extraction, we report a case of femtosecond assisted cataract extraction in a 9 year old girl.

Methods
Case Report

Results
We report a case of a 9-year-old African-American female with 3+ cortical and posterior sub-capsular changes in the left eye with a visual acuity of 20/150. She subsequently underwent Femtosecond laser assisted cataract extraction with Alcon LenSx®. The laser was used for the corneal incisions and the anterior capsulotomy. Visual Acuity 1-day post-op was 20/25.

Conclusion
The advantages of the femtosecond laser play to all of the disadvantages of pediatric cataract surgery.
