Damage to the donor corneal tissue during preparation for DSAEK often results in abandoning the procedure and wastage of precious donor tissue. Efforts to salvage such tissue are highly valuable and viable with good outcomes. We present two cases of donor tissue damage during microkeratome assisted dissection. In both cases, minor adaptations to the preparation and surgical procedure ensured completion of the surgery, resulting in good outcomes.
