Video shows an uncommon complication during cataract surgery; that is, the posterior migration of a Malyugin ring during phacoemulsification.  Postoperatively, the ring was visible in the vitreous cavity and subsequently was retrieved in toto via pars plana vitrectomy using the Malyugin ring injector.
