With the decrease of incision size in the 2000th and suppression of the sleeve in MICS, tears of the corneal stroma or Descemet's membrane can occur during the insertion of a 20G round tip into a 1.1 mm corneal incision. An ovalization and smooth edge shape of the tip allows an easier introduction into the anterior chamber with no injury of the cornea. Video shows the conception of this tip and the use for different hardness of nucleus to show safety and efficiency in MICS.
