Purpose
To evaluate the early clinical outcomes of newly combined treatment of unilateral biaspheric Hybrid ablation profile (PresbyMAX Hybrid) to correct presbyopia and the fellow eye treated with regular LASIK.  Using Schwind Amaris 1050 Hz excimer laser, dominant eye received LASIK with targeting plano and non-dominant eye received with PresbyMAX Hybrid.

Methods
Twenty eight eyes of 14 presbyopic patients between 44 and 62 years old had enrolled in the study.  Binocular mean uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA), uncorrected intermediate visual acuity (UIVA), and uncorrected near visual acuity (UNVA) were 20/63, 20/63, and J5, respectively.

Results
At 1 week, binocular uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA), uncorrected intermediate visual acuity (UIVA), and uncorrected near visual acuity (UNVA) were 20/16, 20/25, and J2, respectively.

Conclusion
The early clinical outcomes of newly combined treatment of unilateral biaspheric Hybrid ablation profile (PresbyMAX Hybrid) with regular LASIK treatment in the fellow eye to correct presbyopia indicated good outcomes at 1 week.  Longer follow-ups are needed in order to evaluate safety and efficacy.
