Purpose
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of the LensAR femtosecond laser (LENSAR, Orlando, FL) for cataract surgery in conjunction with implantation of the trabecular microbypass stent (iStent, Glaukos, Mission Viejo, CA) for glaucoma.

Methods
Retrospective chart review. 22 eyes from 14 patients (77% female; avg. 75.7 years old) with glaucoma and cataract scheduled to undergo laser assisted cataract extraction.

Results
No unique perioperative glaucoma-related complications were noted after application of the femtosecond laser, suggesting there is no contraindication in glaucoma patients. Preoperative IOP 18.2 mmHg on medication was reduced to 16.8 mmHg with 20/22 patients requiring no medication. Average best corrected visual acuity improved from 20/45 to 20/25 with all improving except 2 patients remained the same.

Conclusion
The use of femtosecond laser cataract extraction concomitant with implantation of a

trabecular stent was safe and effective in patients with mild or moderate glaucoma.
