Course 20-103 Enhanced Screening for Ectasia Susceptibility Among Refractive Candidates: From Corneal Topography and Central Pachymetry to 3-D Tomography and Biomechanics
Monday, April 20, 2015: 8:00 AM-9:30 AM
Room 6C (San Diego Convention Center)
Course Description
Course will review the evolution of screening for ectasia risk before laser vision correction procedures. Ectasia susceptibility will be defined. Basics of corneal topography and tomography interpretation will be provided along with biomechanical assessments. Studies describing classic and new approaches for enhanced artificial intelligence methods by BrAIN (Brazilian Study Group of Artificial Intelligence and Corneal Analysis) will be detailed.
