Course 21-101  Ocular Surface Procedures in the Treatment  Room

Course Description
This interactive course will present the current surgical approach in the minor treatment room for the management of diverse ocular surface diseases. Topics will include superficial keratectomy for epithelial basement membrane dystrophy and Salzmann’s nodular degeneration, band keratopathy chelation, pterygium surgery with sutures, fibrin glue and/or mitomycin-C, amniotic membrane grafts, conjunctival flaps, histoacryl glue for corneal perforations, corneal manual relaxing incisions and corneal tattooing. Emphasis will be placed on tips and tricks, with faculty panel discussion on challenging clinical situations.
