Course 20-407   Ocular Surface Point-of-Service Diagnostic Center: Clinical Asset, Surgical Necessity, Patient Delight, Business Essential, and Practice Builder

Course Description
Course will describe clinical selection criteria for ocular-surface patient testing, including interpretation, coding and billing, treatment plans, follow-up care, and practice-building strategies. Testing discussed will include osmolarity, ocular-surface inflammation and adenovirus assays, proper culturing techniques, tear-film thickness, meibomography, allergen testing, and topography. The format will be didactic with practical demonstrations to include detailed instructions for procurement as well as technician training. Case studies will be instructive for each constellation of disorders, integrating the diagnostic and therapeutic algorithms for the most common ocular surface disorders. Intelligent practice integration, patient flow, surgical considerations, and marketing plans will be analyzed.
