Course 19-207  Myopia Control

Sunday, April 19, 2015: 10:00 AM-11:30 AM
Room 10 (San Diego Convention Center)

Course Description
Course will discuss myopia management and control in children, a condition that is projected to increase from roughly 5% to 50% worldwide. The WHO and CDC are referring to the growth of myopia in China as an epidemic. Even in the U.S., the incidence of myopia has increased by 60% in the past several decades. In light of this, new and more effective protocols are needed to manage myopia in adolescent patients. Peripheral hyperopia defocus plays an important role in myopia treatment. A panel discussion will follow.
