DEADLINE FOR ONLINE ENTRY FORM SUBMISSION AND RECIEPT OF UPLOADED DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPH(S): FEBRUARY 8, 2024
ASCRS and the Ophthalmic Photographers’ Society (OPS) co-sponsor a call for photo submissions of high-quality ophthalmic images demonstrating superior imaging techniques to be selected for the electronic OPS exhibit at the 2024 ASCRS Annual Meeting. The photo selection process is judged by ophthalmologists and OPS member photographers. Acceptance of a photograph(s) for the exhibit is highly selective.
PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION IS NOW COMPLETELY DIGITAL.
Online submission is open from October 16, 2023 – February 8, 2023.
Submission Steps
- Go to https://ascrs.confex.com/ascrs/24am/cfp.cgi to submit a photograph entry & photo file.
- It is important to use a valid and current email, as all correspondence regarding the entry will be sent to this email address.
- All information required by the submission must be complete, or the submission will not be considered for judging.
- Enter the required photo details, including selection of the appropriate photo category.

* Categories may be subject to change for 2024 submissions.
- Only the lead photographer’s name should be included in the submission.
- Attach the final, high resolution image file to the submission.
- NEW IN 2024: the image file will be included along with the main entry submission. Please wait until you have the final image file available to begin your submission.
- NEW IN 2024: your submission must only include ONE final image file. For entries that contain multiple images, you must edit them together into a single image file to be displayed.
- Complete the Faculty CME review and Financial Disclosure at https://ascrs.confex.com/ascrs/ficme24/cfp.cgi. Photographers will need to complete the CME Review and Financial Disclosure to finalize their submission.
NUMBER OF ENTRIES
Individuals can submit up to 3 entries per category, with a maximum number of submissions not to exceed 20. Only photos of the highest quality should be submitted for consideration.
Photoshop work of several images is acceptable, such as in Cross Categories (e.g., 4 photographs from the same angiogram, progression studies), but must be edited into one single image file.
JUDGING & WINNING PHOTOGRAPHS
A panel of judges will review digital photo entries and select the winners in each category and an overall Best in Show winner. The judges will be composed of ASCRS ophthalmologists and OPS member photographers.
The judges reserve the right to reassign images to different categories prior to winner selection.
Winners will be displayed in the digital OPS exhibit at the 2024 ASCRS Annual Meeting, available throughout the convention center on Education Hub stations. Meeting registration is required if you are planning on attending the 2024 ASCRS Annual Meeting.
ELIGIBILITY
- Photographs that have been displayed in previous OPS exhibits or won previous OPS awards are not eligible for entry.
- Exhibit judges are not eligible to submit entries.
- ASCRS or OPS membership is not required for submission to the OPS exhibit.
- Attendance to the 2024 ASCRS Annual Meeting is not required for OPS submitters or winners.
