Narrative Responses:

Purpose
To present the use of the capsular anchor for subluxated lenses in a variety of special cases.

Methods
The anchor, a capsule stabilizing device, was used in a series of 30 eyes with significant subluxation of the crystalline lenses in cases of Marfan syndrome, primary ectopia lentis, coloboma and severe ocular trauma. In addition, it was used to reposition and fixate 3 subluxated PC-IOLs to the scleral wall.

Results
The capsular anchor effectively secured the capsular bag to the scleral wall in eyes with significant zonular dialysis for various etiologies. In severe cases of zonular dehiscence larger than 180 degrees, two Anchors were used in the same eye. In a follow-up of up to 8 years, all lenses are central and stable.

Conclusion
The anchor is highly effective for reposition and scleral fixation of malpositioned lenses. The anchor can be utilized also in cases in which other capsule stabilizing devices cannot be used such as anterior capsular tear or to reposition Subluxated PC-IOLs.
