The APX, a device designed to dilate and maintain a wide pupil throughout surgery, was effectively used in 18 eyes with a small pupil or IFIS.  Constricted pupil was often associated with other ocular pathologies or following trauma. Surgeries included pars plana vitrectomy and scleral fixation of a PC IOL.
