The femtosecond intrastromal lenticular implantation technique involves insertion of a cryo-preserved stromal lenticule of known power into a pocket created in a patient’s cornea using the femtosecond laser to correct hyperopia. It appears to offer significant potential advantages such as no haze, no flap complications, no minimum regression, minimal induction of aberrations, better predictability, and reversibility of the procedure.
