Evaluation of Visual Performances of New 2.2 mm Preloaded Aspheric IOL

Purpose
To evaluate visual performances, injection predictability for the Aaren Scientific preloaded EC-1R HPI Adaptive intraocular lens.

Methods
This is retrospective study of 29 eyes of 26 patients, 75,32 ± 6.14 years including functional and optical results at one year postoperative. Follow-up evaluations include uncorrected and best corrected visual acuity, slitlamp examination, an assessment of lens positioning and transparency

Results
Preoperative BCVA was 0.65 ± 0,21 and 0.98 ± 0.05 one year after surgery. Preoperative SE was 0.42 ± 1.87 D and -0.06 ± 0.52 at one year.

Conclusion
The EC- 1R HPI IOL provides easy-to-use injection. Good visual acuity outcomes were achieved at 1 year examinations with low complication rates, and no glistenings. No complications were experienced with the new pre-loaded delivery system
