Supra-Tenon Capsule Placement of a Glaucoma Drainage Device

Video demonstrates a surgical technique of placing the plate of a Baerveldt 250 mm² glaucoma drainage device between Tenon's capsule and conjunctiva. The anterior extraocular portion of the tube is positioned under native scleral, Tenon's, conjunctival flaps to enhance cosmesis and closure, eliminating the need for a patch graft. This technique reduces the risk of encapsulation and failure.
