Epic Nightmare: Surviving the Transition to EMR

In the last ten years, electronic medical records (EMR) and the implementation of EPIC nationwide has significantly changed the practice of ophthalmology. Although sold as the panacea of our health care system, EMR has depersonalized the patient experience, increased bureaucratic influence, and limited physician autonomy. Offering a humorous spin on this new reality, this film comically highlights some of the absurdities of the new system, but also provides practical tips for survival.
