Accidental Corneal Intrastromal Implantation of Intraocular Lens With Wound-Assisted Docking Technique During Phacoemulsification and its Management

Video shows the unusual complication of accidental implantation of IOL into corneal stromal pocket during 2.2 mm microcoaxial phacoemulsification. The IOL was explanted and re-implanted in the capsular bag. Intraoperative sequence of events leading to a rare complication of wound assisted IOL implantation, its management, prevention and postoperative outcome are discussed.
