The intraoperative floppy iris syndrome (IFIS) is a commonly encountered problem in modern cataract surgery. This video reviews ways to predict which patients are at risk as well as demonstrates the progression of IFIS. Factors which contribute to more severe forms of IFIS are discussed and management options are reviewed.
