Given are pearls to identify and manage intraoperative challenges such as premature gas breakthrough during corneal and limbal incisions, incomplete capsulotomy and capsule tags, emulsified silicone oil bubbles in vitrectomized eyes, intraoperative reverse pupillary block in phacomorphic glaucoma, surgery in post radial keratectomy eyes, and lens tilt from cavitation bubbles in brunescent cataracts.
