Purpose
To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the ReSure Sealant for wound closure following routine and complex clear corneal cataract surgery.

Methods
Retrospective analysis of 39 consecutive patients treated with the sealant following cataract surgery by a single surgeon.  Patients underwent complex cataract surgery (n=11) or routine cataract surgery with MFIOL placement (n=28). Wounds were evaluated for leakage after application and on post-operative day 1 (additional data pending).

Results
100% of surgical incisions were intact at the end of the case and on post-operative day 1 without leakage.   No adverse events occurred in relation to the device (final results pending).

Conclusion
In various scenarios, additional wound closure beyond stromal hydration is desired.  Use of the sealant was safe and effective in both groups as an alternative to wound suture placement (final conclusion pending).
