From Eyebank to OR: The Journey of a Cornea to Transplantation

This film documents the journey of a donor cornea, beginning at the eyebank and ending at the operating room where the recipient undergoes keratoplasty. The stepwise process of donor procurement, tissue processing, and pre-cutting within the eyebank is shown. Meanwhile, the recipient makes the decision to undergo corneal transplantation. The intersection of the two paths meet in the operating room where the surgeon transplants the donor cornea into the recipient's eye.
