F4 Optic Capture: Rescuer of Capsule Catastrophe in Phacoemulsification

Optic capture in the posterior capsulorhexis was a popular technique to prevent PCO and decentration of IOL. In a large PC tear, the optic of a multipiece IOL could be captured within the anterior capsulorhexis after implantation in the sulcus. Video will show an innovative and useful technique in which optic capture was used as a shield in a case of PCR with retained nuclear fragment. Fragments were emulsified over the optic, which separated the anterior chamber from the posterior chamber.
