F30 Transitioning to Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery: Strategies for the Novice Surgeon

Video demonstrates difficulties with patient positioning for performing femtosecond laser cataract procedure and cataract removal after laser fragmentation. We describe our modifications in different stages of the surgical procedure along with their rationale. Knowledge about these pearls and pitfalls will help shorten the learning curve and reduce complications for novice surgeons.
