Capsular Bag Transplantation Plus Cow-Hitch Suture Technique for Aphakia and Aniridia

The big jump in cataract surgery in the last century was to preserve the capsular bag. In the 21st century the transplantation of a capsular bag from a crystalline lens human donor could be the final frontier to reach. We present in our video one of the first surgeries of this type, around the world, in a postraumatic aniridia and aphakia using our personal cow hitch suture technique and combined with an iris prosthesis ring.
